Mulliner Park Ward and Corniche (some interesting history):
The Mulliner Park Ward Company came under Rolls-Royce control in 1961. All crafting and assembly work was concentrated at Hythe Road. From the 1960's till the 1990's, Silver Shadow based 2 -door cars (named as Corniche models after 1971, and Bentley Continental after 1984) were built at Hythe Road, along with the lofty Phantom VI limousines. As Rolls-Royce downsized early in the 1990's, this factory was earmarked for closure and was closed down in 1991-1992, after which cars nominally bodied by H J Mulliner Park Ward were finally assembled at Crewe.
